SCA is a leading global hygiene and forest products company that sponsored an all female crew in one of the most demanding sport events in the world: The Volvo Ocean Race 2014-2015.
Fjord was given the task to promote the Team SCA participation in the race to build digital brand and digital presence.

STORYTELL
The user joins in the adventure and start to follow SCA Team routines. Real time data is collected from sensors in the boat to show sailors' conditions
ENGAGE
The user can learn about sailing and SCA Team by completing micro games within the app. The objective is to collect points and keep track of their own progress
LEARN
The user is coached on how to get a healthy life style. This is achieved by instructional videos, pictures, nutrition awarness and train tips inspired by SCA Team

ENDLESS SCROLL - EASY MENU - TOPIC FILTERS
As simple as a daily feed of updates about the Team SCA, Volvo Ocean Race, sailing and the destinations blended at same level with SCA products & brands. The modules can be filtered according to user’s preferences and shared across social media platforms.
The main objective of the menu is to allow user to hide all the content that is not related with the race so branded modules don't feel like intrusive advertising but meaninful support content.
Lateral filter allows users to refine the search of certain periodic modules such as training tips, history of navigation and quiz questions, modules which the user does not want to miss.
